Natural Hair Restoration Therapies in Hyderabad
Advanced, non-surgical add-on treatments for early-to-moderate hair thinning. Both PRP and GFC use a small sample of your own blood, drawn just like a routine blood test, to stimulate dormant hair follicles and encourage healthy, natural hair growth. At Dr. Madhu's Advanced Hair Transplant Centre, Jubilee Hills, they are given alongside your ongoing hair loss treatment.
Overview
What is PRP and GFC? Two therapies, one natural source
PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma and GFC stands for Growth Factor Concentrate. Tap a treatment below to see its unique benefits.
PRP and GFC are not stand-alone treatments.
They are add-on therapies that boost your ongoing hair loss treatment, such as the medical treatment your doctor prescribes, or care after a hair transplant.
They work best for men and women with early-to-moderate thinning, where the follicles are still alive. They cannot regrow hair on areas that have been bald for a long time; for advanced baldness, a hair transplant may be the better option.
Treatment 1
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) hair treatment
PRP is a widely trusted, well-researched therapy that harnesses the healing power of your body’s platelets to rejuvenate the scalp.
- Natural healingYour blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate plasma rich in platelets, which is then micro-injected into the scalp to awaken dormant follicles.
- Effective for pattern hair lossWell suited to early-to-moderate thinning, including both male and female pattern hair loss.
- Steady stimulationA standard course is about 6 sessions, giving your follicles deep, sustained stimulation over time.
- Visible thicknessMost patients notice thicker hair within 4 to 6 months as the follicles are gradually nourished.
- Simple upkeepMaintenance sessions every 3 to 4 months keep the hair growth cycle active and healthy.
Treatment 2
Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC) hair treatment
GFC is a refined therapy that isolates the active growth factors in your blood for a potent, targeted approach to hair regrowth.
- High-purity extractionSpecialised closed-system tubes extract active growth factors such as VEGF and PDGF, delivering a concentrated dose directly to the scalp.
- Greater comfortGFC is acellular, meaning it is free of red and white blood cells. This makes the micro-injections more comfortable, with little to no lingering swelling.
- Quicker visible resultsMany patients see reduced hair fall within about 1 month, and increased thickness in 2 to 4 months.
- Fewer sessionsA course is just 3 to 4 sessions, spaced about one month apart.
- Long-lasting resultsMaintenance sessions are needed only every 4 to 6 months to keep your hair density at its best.

Questions
PRP and GFC: frequently asked questions
Can I take PRP or GFC on its own?
No. PRP and GFC are not stand-alone treatments. They are add-on therapies that boost your ongoing hair loss treatment, such as the medical treatment your doctor prescribes, or care after a hair transplant. Your doctor will plan how they fit into your treatment.
Are PRP and GFC injections painful?
Most patients feel only mild discomfort. We use topical anaesthesia (numbing cream) and ring blocks to numb the scalp, along with very fine needles. GFC is usually more comfortable still, because the solution contains no blood cells.
Are PRP and GFC safe? Do they have side effects?
Yes, they are safe. Both are prepared from your own blood, so there is no risk of allergy or rejection, and every session follows strict sterilisation protocols. Side effects are usually mild, such as slight redness or tenderness on the scalp, which settles within a day or two.
Can PRP or GFC be used after a hair transplant?
Yes. They can be used after a hair transplant to support healing and growth, and alongside medical treatment for hair loss. Your doctor will advise what suits you.
Are the results permanent?
The results are long-lasting but not permanent, because hair loss conditions tend to continue over time. Regular maintenance sessions, together with your ongoing treatment, help you keep the improvement.
