Combination (FUE + FUT) hair transplant in Hyderabad

Experienced. Expert. Ethical.

The hybrid procedure for extensive hair restoration at Dr. Madhu's Advanced Hair Transplant Centre

For patients experiencing advanced or extensive hair loss, achieving full coverage often requires a massive number of grafts that a single standard procedure simply cannot provide. To meet this challenge, Dr. Madhu's Advanced Hair Transplant Centre offers the highly specialized Combination Hair Transplant, also known as the Hybrid Procedure.

By seamlessly integrating Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) in a single surgical session, this advanced protocol extracts the absolute maximum number of grafts safely available from the donor area. The result is unparalleled density and comprehensive coverage for extensive bald areas in just one day.

Why combine

The advantages of the hybrid procedure

While FUT and FUE are powerful on their own, combining them unlocks unique aesthetic and surgical benefits for patients with severe hair loss.

Advantage 1

Maximum graft yield in a single session

A typical standard hair transplant yields between 2,500 and 3,000 grafts. By combining the strip method (FUT) to harvest the core volume with precision FUE punches from the surrounding donor zones, a typical combination session at our clinic safely yields between 5,000 and 8,000 grafts.

Advantage 2

Comprehensive coverage for extensive baldness

Because the hybrid procedure effectively doubles the amount of transplantable hair in a single sitting, it is the definitive solution for advanced Norwood classification patients. It allows us to rebuild a strong frontal hairline and densely pack the mid-scalp and crown simultaneously.

Advantage 3

Unprecedented scar minimization

A unique and highly specific advantage of combining these two techniques is the impact on the donor area. When FUT is performed alongside FUE, the tension on the scalp is optimized, and in most cases, the FUT linear scar heals to become much finer and almost entirely invisible.

The capability factor

Why only select centres perform this

The Combination Procedure is an elite surgical protocol. Because of the sheer volume of grafts that must be handled in a single day, only a very select few centres globally have the capability to perform it successfully.

Extracting, preserving, and implanting thousands of grafts requires immense logistical coordination. Many clinics are simply not equipped to manage this volume without leaving the grafts out of the body for too long, which severely compromises the follicle survival rate.

The infrastructure at Dr. Madhu's

Our facility in Jubilee Hills is uniquely engineered for high-volume, mega-session restorations. We operate with a massive infrastructure and a highly specialized team of technicians who possess the capacity to meticulously handle up to 9,000 to 10,000 grafts per day.

Uncompromised speed and survival rates

Because graft survival is heavily dependent on minimizing the time follicles spend outside the body, speed and precision are paramount. We are among the fastest surgical teams in the world in completing this procedure. Even a massive session of 8,000 grafts is comfortably and safely completed within 8 hours. This exceptional efficiency ensures that the survival rate of the transplanted follicles remains uncompromised, guaranteeing maximum growth and density.

After surgery

Comfort, recovery and results

Comfort during and after surgery

The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, so the scalp is numb during surgery. Most patients feel some tightness and mild discomfort in the donor area for a few days afterwards, which is managed with the medication we prescribe.

Recovery

Recovery is similar to a standard FUT procedure. The stitches in the donor area are usually removed after about 10 to 14 days, and most people are back at desk work within about a week. You will get detailed aftercare instructions before you go home.

Permanent results

Hair taken from the back and sides of the scalp is naturally resistant to pattern baldness, so transplanted hair usually keeps growing for life. Your existing native hair can still thin over time, which your surgeon can discuss with you at your consultation.

Transparent pricing

Combination hair transplant cost in Hyderabad

The cost depends mainly on the number of grafts you need. Each graft is priced by the method used to take it: FUT grafts are ₹60 + GST each and FUE grafts are ₹75 + GST each.

You will get an exact quote after your consultation at our Jubilee Hills clinic, once the surgeon has assessed your donor area and the extent of your hair loss.

Questions

Combination hair transplant: frequently asked questions

Is a combo hair transplant the same as a combination hair transplant?

Yes. Combo hair transplant, combination hair transplant, hybrid hair transplant and FUE + FUT combined are all names for the same procedure: FUT and FUE performed together in a single surgical session.

Why are FUE and FUT combined instead of being done separately?

Each technique on its own has a limit to how many grafts it can safely take in one sitting. When FUE and FUT are combined, the strip (FUT) provides the core volume and FUE adds grafts from the surrounding donor zones, so the total yield is roughly double that of a standard procedure. Getting the same number of grafts separately would usually mean two surgeries, several months apart.

How is my donor area assessed?

At your consultation, the surgeon examines the density of the donor hair at the back and sides of the scalp, how loose the scalp is (which matters for the FUT strip) and how extensive your hair loss is. This tells us how many grafts can be safely taken and whether a combination procedure is the right choice for you.

How much does a combination hair transplant cost in Hyderabad?
