Hair transplants are done in sessions, and each session is named by how many grafts it implants. At Dr. Madhu's Advanced Hair Transplant Centre in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, a mega session is 2,500 grafts, a super mega session is 4,000 grafts, and a giga session is more than 4,000 grafts.

With a larger session, many patients get the result they want in one session. Very large single-day sessions are usually done as a combination FUE and FUT session. Which size suits you depends on your bald area and your donor supply.

What is a mega session hair transplant?

Can everyone have a super mega or giga session?
No. A large session depends on the capability of the surgeon and team, whether your donor area can supply enough grafts, and the speed of the dissectors and implanters. The doctor checks your donor supply at consultation.
